Global Warming

Many countries are now taking action on the solutions to global warming more seriously. As you can see, nowadays, there are more and more campaigns and organizations that try to conserve the environment. For example, Japan is now using cloth bags instead of plastic bags when they go to a supermarket. By doing this, they can reduce the number of carbon emissions from plastic bags that burned into the atmosphere.
The problem that concerns me the most is the average temperature of the atmosphere around the earth's surface rises, which will make heatwaves occur frequently and become more severe. Therefore, humans will die due to high temperatures, especially in the country that extremely hot such as Africa and Sudan. Moreover, global warming will increase pathogens in tropics and air pollution in the city will be more serious and intense.

There are several steps that I can take as an individual to reduce the carbon footprint. Firstly, use less electricity, for example, unplugged devices when I'm not using them because electronic devices suck energy; it's a waste of energy. Secondly, reuse and recycle things as much as possible such as bottles, clothe, and paper. For example, instead of throwing unused clothes, I can reuse as a foot towel or donate it to others.

Some people might believe that global warming and climate change are the same problems, but actually, they have a bit different. So what are their differences? Global warming occurs when the average temperature is rising, which means that the weather becomes hotter than it used to be. This is due to the influences of the rising concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which mostly created by human-activities. When it comes to climate change, it is more focus on the long-term effects of global warming such as rising sea levels, melting of glacier and changing rainfall patterns. To sum up, climate change is regional weather change, whereas global warming is increasing in temperature worldwide.

  1. Great ideas for individual ways to reduce global warming. What about some governmental policies that you would enforce globally? What ideas do you have on a larger scale?

    1. I would like governments in every country to take this problem more seriously because it is a matter of life and death. It not only affects humans but also animals as well. I want to enforce the law about using plastic items, such as bag, straw, fork, spoon, box, and so on. Nowadays, people can use technology to create useful and eco-friendly things that can replace the usage of plastic, so governments should support these products and expand into people's mindsets.
