In modern society, most people in the world communicate in English, whether directly communicating with each other or using social media. My father always told me that if I have the skill of both speaking and writing in multiple languages, those skills will increase the opportunity to find a job in my future, and it will not be limited only in Thailand but it will be beneficial around the world. So, that is one of my reason that I chose to study aboard.

Learning a new language grammar structure is the most difficult part because some languages such as Japanese have a completely different grammar structure from my native language. Therefore, I have to study harder in order to understand the underlying structure of it.
Rather than English and Japanese, I really want to learn Chinese because in my hometown, there are lots of Chinese companies that cooperate with Thai businesses. Hence, if I study Chinese, I think that it will beneficial for me in the future. Moreover, in this era, China is becoming the most influential country in the world, due to factors of country size and population which making Chinese the most used language.
My language goal is being able to write, speak, listen and read in second and third languages fluently. Also, I want to reach at least N2 in Japanese before I graduate from this university because there will be more opportunities for me to find a job that I want, whether in my home country or in Japan.
All of your reasons for studying another language seem like extrinsic motivation, meaning that you are studying them to have better job opportunities or to have a higher salary. Do you have any intrinsic motivation to study these languages?

Yes, I also interesting in travel. If we know how to speak many languages; it will increase the chance of surviving in other countries because some people who live in a different part of the world must be able to speak the same language as me. If Japanese people come to visit Thailand, I will be able to help them because I know how to speak their language; although, they must be surprised, and it will help their trip more convenient.
DeleteIn my opinion, people that speak many languages will gain more advantages than people who do not. I want to speak many important languages fluently, such as Chinese, Japanese, and English. If I can speak these languages like a native speaker; my life will be easier in the future. I will be able to find a high-quality job and able to travel around the world since the English language is the main language in this world. Besides, in the near future, I hope that the Chinese language will cover every country because I will be able to travel happily with no language barrier.
