Reflection of Comparison Essay

The most difficult part of an introduction is when I write a hook because it is very hard to write a sentence that has to be interesting and make the readers what to continue reading on my essay. I don't think that I wrote a perfect introduction because I'm not good at making up an attractive hook. However, I'm quite confident in my thesis statement because I show the readers what I'm going to write in the essay by using clear and concise words.

I found it difficult to analyze all of the ideas into one paragraph. Although, I have practice concluding paragraph for several times but I'm still not good at it. Hence, that's the reason why I don't think that I wrote a perfect conclusion.

In my opinion, organizing the essay is the easiest part because I brainstorm and make a plan about what to put in my essay before I write it down. However, there were some difficulties that I had confronted. I found it difficult to write the content as I had planned because sometimes there was too much information in one subject but there was a little in another. Therefore, it is hard to put an equal amount of information on both sides.

I think APA formatting is not difficult than I thought because before I write an essay, the teacher taught me how to write it. Moreover, I practiced formatting APA until I get used to it, so it quite easy for me. Nevertheless, writing references and APA is still challenging because there was a minor format that I always mistook such as the comma after "&" symbol and the author's last name and first name.

I think all of my content was supported by evidence because I used what I have research to support my point. Even so, there was one error that I used to back up my content. I used unsuitable evidence in my third paragraph which considered as a wrong example. Therefore, not all of my content is proof correctly.

Finding a different vocabulary is very challenging for me because to seek for the same meaning words, I have to know a lot of vocabulary and I have to sort out the word and consider which one is fitting in the content. For punctuation, I think I already get used to using the punctuation because I practiced a lot during high school.

In conclusion, writing a comparison essay helps me improve my process of planning and brainstorm, which I certainly know that it will beneficial for me in the near future. Moreover, I learned how to differentiate between two different things, such as their similar and different, strengths and weaknesses and advantages and disadvantages.
