The most popular sport in Thailand can't be anything else except Thai boxing or มวยไทย (Muay Thai in traditional language). Thai boxing is a form of close-combat that utilizes the entire body as a weapon. What makes Thai boxing very uniques is that it is known as "the art of 8 limbs". This refers to eight points of contact used including the fists, elbows, knees, and shins, which is different from taekwondo or karate that mainly focuses on legs. Also, at the start of the match, a Wai Khru (Wai Khru convey the value of Thai culture and traditions) ceremony must be performed, whereby the boxers enter the ring wearing a ceremonial rattan headband and starting to fight.
There are few sports that require speed and badminton is one of them. Badminton makes me more healthy because it needs speed and strength which is very challenging. I enjoyed playing badminton more than other sport because it is easy to play and it is an indoor sport which means that I don't have to worried about the weather. Besides, badminton only needs 1 person to play with, so I don't have to waste my time waiting for other people like basketball or football. Moreover, every time I played badminton, it helped me improve my flexibility and balance. Therefore, badminton is an intriguing and healthy sport, in which all ages can play.
Sports create friendship between people, it helps strengthen our relationship during the game because we have to know each other and we need teamwork in order to win. Spending time with other people helps increase intimacy. Sometimes we do not have to win or equate sport with the competition, but it is the opportunities in which we can bring people together.
