Student Life

Higher education is basically the most important choice for people to choose whether they are going to further their education or not. It is widely known that people who gain higher education such as Master's degrees or Ph.D. mostly have a higher chance to get a high salary job and get a promotion in their workplace. Therefore, gaining a higher education would be a better choice for people who want to further their knowledge of their interests and get a high position in their careers.

Older people used to say that the most interesting part of a person's life is when you are a student, which I do not understand why they used to say that because I’m still a student and never experienced adult life. However, I still believed that student life is the best period of human life. Being a student has nothing to be worried about except grade and homework that given by a school, we don’t have to be responsible in financial, job or family, our parents always support us in every way. We have plenty of time to play around, travel to different places, explore a new environment and meet new friends, which we can do these things without anxiety. When it comes to adult life or work life, responsibility will come like a tornado, our free time going to be a rare item and our parent’s expectation will be the hardest thing that we have to handle. Therefore, I strongly believed that student life is the happiest part of a person’s life.

Anyway, I am now getting used to my new life here. Moreover, in terms of studying, there are little differences between studying in Thailand and Japan because I have been learning in International school since I was young. So, there are not that many differences except my surrounding like friends, in high school I used to talk in Thai language even if it’s an international school but when I came to this university, I have lots of international friends and I must talk in English in order to communicate with them which is very challenging for me.

  1. Some students studying in universities do have financial responsibilities to worry about. Of course this is contextual and depends on each person, but a lot of students worry and have a lot of stress beyond their studies.

Are there any differences in terms of education when comparing Thailand to Japan? Why did you choose to come to TIU?

    1. In my perspective, Thai and Japan education does not have any different. Both have the same education system. However, I come to Japan because I want to explore new experiences. Also, I want to learn the Japanese language to increase and widen my future job opportunities. I chose TIU because it is an international college, and I can see many different people from different countries all around the world; consequences, I could learn about their culture.
